Let me begin by saying a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing patients for your patience and support during this pandemic.
We continue to follow CDC guidelines and have implemented additional protocols for sanitizing the office. We will do our best to protect our patients and staff as we proudly serve your eye care needs. Please read over the following list of protocols before your visit to our office to avoid any surprises and to ensure that we are meeting safety expectations for you and our staff.
If you have any symptoms such as fever, breathing problems, body aches, cough etc., we will be happy to reschedule your appointment for another time. If you or your family members have traveled out of the country within the last 14 days, we will need to reschedule your appointment for a couple of weeks out. If you or your family members believe you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days, we will need to reschedule your appointment.
Up until now, we have been taking body temperatures upon entrance, however, with the outside temperatures getting hotter, we feel as though we are getting many false readings. Now we are asking that you take your own temperature at home before your visit. We will only take your temperature if you are showing any COVID symptoms.
In accordance with Governor Cooper's mandate, please bring a mask to wear while inside the building. If you are unable to wear a mask, we have special appointment times set aside to accomodate you. Please ask when making your appointment.
As part of our check-in procedure, we will provide a COVID questionnaire to aid in monitoring symptoms that may indicate any potential risk of infection. Please be aware that positive responses to these symptoms may cause us to reschedule your exam for a later time.
We ask that you please do not bring any unnecessary visitors with you to your appointment; however one parent may enter with a child. Please do not bring children who do not have an appointment. In addition, we are not scheduling multiple family members together at this time. While we appreciate your compliance with CDC guidelines, it does cause a large gap in our schedule when families have to cancel.

Our optical team will help you select the perfect frame that matches your style and meets your budget. We have great selection of frames for children and adults. Whether you prefer high end fashion designers or more conservative traditional styles, we have a frame for you. In addition, our optical staff will assist you in choosing the correct lens type and provide you with information regarding the best lens options for you to obtain optimal vision performance. We have a licensed optician with over 20 years of experience along with other qualified optical dispensers that can answer all of your questions about transitions lenses, anti-reflective coatings, different lens materials, polarized lenses, UV protection, progressive lenses and more. If you spend multiple hours a day on digital media such as computers, tablets, laptops and mobile devices, we offer a range of products to help protect your eyes against harmful blue light as well as products that provide relief from eye strain caused by these devices.

We provide contact lens products and services for most major brands and most prescriptions. From basic single vision to lenses with astigmatism or bifocals, we can renew your current prescription or fit you with contacts for the first time.
We stock a large selection of diagnostic lenses to aid in fitting you with contact lenses during your visit. In most cases you can leave with contacts on the day of your eye exam.
We can order your contact lenses from your prescription on file or you can bring in a valid prescription from another doctor and we can order them for you. Most orders take 1 to 2 days to come in. If you order an annual supply, we can have your lenses sent directly to your home or office address and the shipping is FREE! These orders do take a bit longer and usually arrive within 5 business days.

Many manufacturer's offer rebates with the purchase of contact lenses. We have these rebates available and will inform you if your lens has such an offer. We also accept most major vision insurance plans and can help you get the most out of your benefits. If you have a mild medical eye problem such as a red eye, eye irritation, or eye allergy, we can probably help you. Doctor's of Optometry can also treat many mild eye injuries.
If you have an eye emergency after business hours, we have a doctor on call. Just call our office (919-468-2636) for instructions. Please note, after hours rates will be applied and are not usually covered by any insurance.
*NOTE* If you have a serious eye injury or medical issue you should call 911 or visit the Emergency Room.
We accept most medical and vision insurance plans. If you do not see your carrier on the list below, please call our office to verify whether or not we accept your plan. Some plans do not have ID cards and some operate under different names. We can usually determine who your benefits provider is by asking just a few short questions.
